"Yadkinville Elementary School is a Title I School. We receive federal Title I money to help provide instruction that meets the needs of all students. Because our school receives federal funds, we are held accountable by the NCLB laws. NCLB requires that our students meet specific goals to show progress. This is determined by meeting AYP goals that are calculated by our students' EOG scores. Every child in our school is considered a Title I child. As a parent of a Title I child, you have the right to be involved in your child's education. We encourage you to become an active participant. We are glad to have your input and participation here at YES. As part of this plan, you will be provided with our Yadkin County and YES Parental Involvement Policies. If you have specific questions or concerns about this involvement, you may contact Dr. James Sheek, principal at YES, or Dr. Myra Cox at the Central Office. To find out more about opportunities for parent involvement, please see Dr. Sheek or call the school office."
