What is EBOB?
EBOB is the elementary Battle of the Book competition that is sponsored each year by North Carolina School Library Media Association. Each team can have 12 members consisting of students in grades 4th - 6th. Students will practice during their I/E time with some other practices as time is available. Students will compete in the county competition in March. Students have a list of 15 books to read and will then be asked questions regarding facts from the books.
What makes a good EBOB team member?
1 - Someone who loves to read!
2 - Someone who can remember facts from the books they read.
3 - Someone willing to compete to read as many books as they can and to learn the titles and authors of all the books.
4 - Someone who will be a good team member by listening but also being willing to share their opinion.
Mrs. Poindexter our Media Coordinator leads this team. She may be contacted at 336-679-8921.
The list of books is attached below. If you are interested, be sure to let your teachers know and you can begin learning the titles and authors any time!
