I'm Jamie Sloan and I've been teaching since August 2011.  I've always had a passion for teaching and absolutely love watching children grow and succeed!  I attended Appalachian State University for my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education.  I also attended Appalachian State University for my graduate degree in Reading K-12.  I was raised in Yadkin County and feel privileged to now be able to teach in such a wonderful county at an amazing school.  Everyday is a new adventure in Kindergarten.  I love watching your child grow each and every day and I look forward to the school year.  

 

A little bit about me....I love spending time with my family, friends, and traveling to do mission work.  I have traveled to Peru twice for missionary work and remained in the states for several trips.  I enjoy sports, being outdoors, and going to the lake.
