I am so excited to be starting another year in the Literacy Lab at YES!  I love helping students learn to read!  

 

About Me:

I graduated from UNC Wilmington in 2003 with a degree in Elementary Education and began teaching second grade at Yadkinville Elementary in August 2003.  I earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and in 2007.  I achieved National Board Teaching Certification in 2009.  In 2012 I earned a second Master's degree in Reading from ASU.  I have spent the past five years teaching K-6 grade students in the Literacy Lab. 

 

I am married to Coach Tuck who is a teacher and coach at Forbush High School.  We have two children.  Our daughter, Mabel, just started kindergarten and our son, Harper,  will start preschool this year.
